What Is KAB?
Kennesaw Activities Board (KAB) is the programming body for the KSU student population. Through its programming areas, the Kennesaw Activities Board sponsors a wide variety of out-of-class events, activities, and programs. The Board enhances the overall student life on campus by providing the following types of programs: comedy, films, lectures, music, outdoor activities, variety performers, Homecoming, and KSU Day.
The Kennesaw Activities Board office is located on the third floor of the Carmichael Student Center, Room 357. KAB general meetings are held once a week on Thursdays at 12:30 pm (room location varies) and you are invited to attend and become involved with the activities of the organization. Upon enrollment at Kennesaw State, you are a member of the Kennesaw Activities Board. To become a KAB General Voting Member you must attend two meetings and hand out promotional items for two events.
Executive officers are elected each spring by the student body for the following year and coordinators for the programming areas are appointed by the elected officers. To be eligible to serve on the Executive Board, a student must be enrolled at KSU and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. At the end of each spring semester officers are elected to the Executive Board and area coordinators are appointed. Our area coordinators include: Theme Weeks, CineKAB, Lectures, KSU Hommie, Showtime, ERR (Education, Recruitment, & Retention), and TechnoKABbie.
